undo a wrong promotion without hunting other screens

New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.

  • Promotions: Undoing a promotion that shouldn't have happened used to stop with a message telling you to go clean up attendance, exam results and report cards screen by screen. They now appear as one checklist on the promotion record — with the dates and exam names shown — and you clear the ones you pick after typing the student's admission number to confirm.
  • Fee safety: Fee and transport payments are never removed this way. They are listed with the amount and receipt numbers, plus a direct link to that child's fee records, so the receipt a parent already holds always matches what the school has.
  • Access control: Clearing those records needs its own separate permission, so office staff who can correct a promotion cannot wipe out a term's marks on their own.
  • Fix: The single-student undo screen now shows what is blocking it up front, instead of only reporting it after you had already filled in the reason.

This isn't a roadmap. It's already running in your competitor's school.
