New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.
- Fees: Schools can now give each student an optional tag, such as the ledger or folio number from their old paper fee register, and call it by their own name ("Ledger No.", "Folio No.") in English or Hindi. At the fee counter, office staff type the number and the student comes up instantly.
- Fees: The tag shows on every student's fee record, the fee list and the class-wise fee grid, and every fee search finds it. Accountants can fill a whole class in a couple of minutes, typing down the list like marks entry.
- Fees: Tags carry over to the next academic year by themselves, so schools switching from a paper register or another ERP set them up only once. See the student fee module.
