New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.
Media picker: A cleaner way to pick school photos and documents. Search and folder switching sit in one bar, files show as square thumbnails, and a breadcrumb shows exactly which folder a file lives in. A side panel adds a large preview, copy link, download and image descriptions for screen readers.
Uploads: Add files with the upload button, by dragging them in, or by pasting. Each upload shows live progress right in the grid and is selected the moment it finishes. Teachers and students get the same picker for their personal files, with delete and storage used.
Photo editor: A new layout puts school photo shortcuts first: student passport photo, profile picture, ID card photo, staff photo and signature. A floating bar shows the photo size and file size before and after every change, so office staff can stay within upload limits for admission forms and ID cards.
Fix: The photo editor now opens on top of forms such as the edit employee form, the form behind the picker is blurred, and the editor's side panels scroll with the mouse wheel again.
