• Fees by chat: Office staff can now set up and run school fees by talking to Inkwelly AI — fee heads, monthly or quarterly installments, class mapping, late-fee rules, sibling and staff-ward discounts, scholarships, fee profiles, monthly invoices, fines and previous-year dues from the old ERP. • Approval before anything changes: Every action shows a preview card with the exact students, bills and rupee amounts first. Nothing happens until someone approves it, and no parent is messaged without the card saying so.
• Collect fees with your PIN: "Sharma ji ke dono bachchon ki fees le lo" becomes one approval card. The accountant enters the same Transaction PIN as at the fee counter, with the same location check, security log and owner alert. Outside AI apps can never collect or reverse money.
• Cheques, refunds and receipts: Deposit, clear or bounce a day's cheques together, raise and approve refunds, resend or cancel receipts, send payment links and fee reminders on WhatsApp — all from the same chat.
• Refunds stay correct: A refund now stays counted whenever a bill is recalculated, the bill re-opens only by the refunded amount, and a payment that has a refund can no longer be reversed a second time.
• Fee settings are enforced: "Allow partial payments" and "minimum payment" now apply at the counter, future-dated payments are refused on web and the mobile app, and two staff collecting on one bill at the same moment no longer overwrite each other.
• Bounced cheques: A bounced cheque now cancels its receipt and puts back the fee heads, fines and early-payment discount it had cleared. A redeposit restores them, and uncleared cheques count as paid everywhere.
• Invoice fixes: A deleted invoice is no longer re-created overnight, a late fee on a paid bill is counted once, fine and old-dues bills made after midnight get the right date, and cancelled fine bills read ₹0. New schools start with late fees and automatic reminders switched off.
