• Fees: When collecting a fee payment, staff can now split it across fee heads themselves, for example ₹3,000 towards Dress and Tuition while Registration stays pending, instead of the fixed order. Receipts, head-wise collection reports and reversals follow the chosen split. Works on the web portal and the staff app, in English and Hindi. See the student fee module.
• Control: Off by default, so schools that don't need it see no change. Once a school switches it on, only staff with the new Choose fee heads while collecting permission see the option; principals and accountants get it by default.
• Late fee and audit: A late fee gets its own row in the split, and every hand-split payment carries a Manual split tag so accountants can tell it apart. Online payments by parents always use the automatic order.
• Inkwelly AI: The AI assistant can now tell which fee payments were split by hand and explain how to switch the option on.
