NCERT Class 9 Social Science textbook not ready as session begins

Four of five new NCERT Class 9 textbooks for 2026-27 are in print and on DIKSHA, but Social Science — renamed Gateway to Social Science — remains in final stages of development, leaving schools to begin the term without the official text.

NCERT releases Class 9 Kaveri English textbook free on DIKSHA

Hours before its physical print run lands at school depots, NCERT has put four new Class 9 textbooks — Kaveri (English), Ganita Manjari (Mathematics), Exploration (Science) and Sharda (Sanskrit) — on the DIKSHA portal for free download.
