let class teachers see the student details you allow

New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.

  • Student records: Class teachers can now open a student's parents and contacts, academic history, documents, fee status, transport, health, exam results, diary and achievements — but only the parts your school chooses to share, decided for each class teacher on each class. Attendance stays open to every class teacher exactly as before.
  • Fees: Fee amounts are a separate choice from fee status. A teacher can be allowed to see that a family owes something and by when, without seeing how much — enough to follow up before a parent meeting, without learning what the family pays.
  • Setup: Set one school-wide default and every new class teacher inherits it, so you don't repeat the same choices for forty classes. Widen or narrow any individual teacher whenever you like. Taking access away takes effect the moment you save it. See the student information module.
  • Change requests: Where you allow it, a class teacher can ask the office to correct a parent's phone number or add a document. Nothing changes until your office approves it, and the review list now shows whether a request came from the student or from a class teacher.
  • Privacy: Every time a teacher opens fees, documents or health details it is recorded, so you can always answer who has looked at a child's file.

This isn't a roadmap. It's already running in your competitor's school.
