• Student Diary: Principals now decide in Diary settings who can read and write diary notes, and about which students — every staff member, only a teacher's own classes, or rules for chosen staff, departments, grades, classes or single students. Write-only access suits gate and bus staff. See the student information module.
• Diary heads: Schools name diary heads with full access — private staff notes, who wrote each note, editing or deleting any note, and the behaviour insights. Access rules copy forward to the next academic year in one click.
• Diary settings: A redesigned settings page with a side menu, staff photos next to every name, clear on/off switches, and a "check a staff member" preview that explains exactly what each teacher can do.
• Edit and delete notes: Teachers can edit or delete their own diary notes at any time from the teacher app. Parents see an Edited label when a note changed after they read it, and principals keep a list of deleted notes.
• Teacher app: The diary now shows every note a teacher is allowed to read, with a By me filter and pull-to-refresh on every screen. A missing permission now says "you don't have access" instead of a misleading "session expired" screen.
