Newstudent

see each child's complete school diary in one place

New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.

  • School diary: Class teachers and office staff can now open any student and read a full year of diary notes — appreciation, concerns and the family's replies — grouped day by day. A "what the family sees" switch shows exactly what the parent's app shows, so a note meant only for staff is never on screen during a parent meeting.
  • Quiet students: The roster now surfaces children nobody has written about in two months — the quiet ones easily overlooked in a class of forty — alongside those needing attention and those whose behaviour is turning around.
  • Parent meetings: Print a one-page brief for a single child, or for a whole class as a single PDF with a page per child in roll order. Only what has already been shared with the family appears on it.
  • Acknowledgements: Staff can send a polite reminder when a family has not yet acknowledged a note, with the school deciding how many reminders go out and how far apart. Reminders reach parents in English or Hindi through the parent communication module.

This isn't a roadmap. It's already running in a school near you.
