New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.
- Period timings in one step: Say "8 periods of 40 minutes from 8am, lunch after the 4th" and the full week's timings are worked out for you, including a shorter Saturday. Doing this by hand meant filling in one form per period, per day, before a single subject could be scheduled.
- A class's whole week at once: An entire six-day timetable for a class can now be scheduled in one go instead of period by period. Nothing is saved until you see exactly what will change and approve it.
- Catches a teacher booked twice: Clashes are now caught within the same request, not only against what is already saved — so a full week is checked for double-booked teachers, rooms and classes before any of it lands. See the academics module.
- New session rollover: Last year's timetable can be copied into the new session in one step. Subjects and classes are matched to the new year automatically, and anything without a match is listed for you rather than quietly skipped.
