Check-in reminders: Staff who check in on their phone get a nudge at their start time, a last call a few minutes before they would be marked late, and a reminder to check out before leaving. Each goes by app notification, WhatsApp, SMS or email, chosen per reminder. See staff attendance.
Never a wasted message: Nobody is reminded on a holiday, week-off, leave, work-from-home or on-duty day, or after punching in on the biometric device. Half-day and short leave move the reminder time instead. Each reminder reaches a person at most once a day, and staff can switch reminders off for themselves.
See it before you switch it on: Settings show how many staff will be reminded tomorrow and why the rest are skipped. The daily activity shows how many reminded staff checked in within 15 minutes.
Late marking follows each person's hours: Late marks now use a teacher's own working hours and the department on their staff profile, so part-time and shift staff are judged by their own start time. Staff who check in on time from their phone no longer get a "marked present" message.
Selfies on the register: Check-in selfies now show when you open a day on a staff member's attendance calendar and in the daily attendance edit window.
