New feature shipped to Inkwelly— India's most actively developed school management software. This change is in production at real Indian schools today, not on a roadmap.
Employee attendance: Teachers and staff can now mark their own
attendance from the Inkwelly app with a Check in / Check out button that
works only inside a circle the school draws around its campus. Punch time
comes from the server, fake-GPS and weak-signal fixes are refused, and the
school can ask for a selfie with every punch. No biometric machine, PC or
bridge needed. See the

Admin controls: A new Mobile Check-in screen under Settings holds the
on/off switch, the campus pin and radius on a map, the selfie rule and
department exclusions, plus an Activity tab showing every accepted punch
with distance, device and selfie, and every refused attempt with the reason.
Late marking: Daily staff attendance is now marked Late automatically
from each department's in-time and grace period, for biometric, mobile and
office-entered punches alike, so the late tracker and monthly register fill
themselves. An admin's excusal stays in place through the evening punch-out.
Fixes: Punches between midnight and 5:30 AM IST were filed under the
previous day; the employee app's "today" also followed the server clock.
Both now use the Indian calendar day.
