School ERP for day schools. Where the fee office gets its week back.
Day schools are the backbone of Indian education, and the thing that breaks first as they grow is almost never academics. It's the fee office.

The fee office is the bottleneck
In most day schools of a few hundred students upward, one or two people hold the entire fee operation in their heads and in a spreadsheet. It works, until someone is on leave, or a parent disputes a payment from eighteen months ago, or the accountant asks for a reconciliation that takes three evenings to produce.
That's the work that disappears first. Invoices raised in bulk against a fee structure, payments landing automatically from UPI and every Indian gateway, receipts issued the moment money arrives, and a defaulter list that's a lookup rather than an afternoon.
What a day school uses every day
- Fee collection across UPI, Razorpay, PayU, Paytm and Cashfree, plus direct ICICI, HDFC and SBI reconciliation and one-click Tally export.
- Attendance marked in under a minute a class, with WhatsApp absence alerts going out to parents automatically.
- Board-correct report cards for CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, State boards and NIOS.
- Admissions from first enquiry through documents to fee on confirmation.
- Transport with live GPS and per-child pickup and drop alerts.
- Staff attendance, leave, payroll, PF, TDS and Form 16.
- Parent communication on WhatsApp in eleven languages, with SMS fallback.
The awkward fee cases, which are most of them
- Sibling and staff-ward concessions applied by rule rather than remembered.
- RTE students as their own category, with reimbursement evidence at student level.
- Part payments and instalments against a single invoice, so a paying family isn't a defaulter.
- Late fines by day or by period, calculated on the invoice principal.
- Transport charged by distance slab, changing when a family moves.
- Cheque tracking including bounces, and cash receipts printed at the counter.
What the principal gets
Today's collection, today's absentees, this month's outstanding and the twenty families worth calling — without asking anyone to prepare anything. Most principals we talk to describe the current state as waiting until Friday to find out about Monday.
Frequently asked
What does Inkwelly cost?
₹49–₹199 per student per year, flat at any school size — no enrolment slabs and no per-module upsell. A 500-student school on the middle plan is about ₹49,500 a year. Migration, training and setup are ₹0. The only external costs are WhatsApp message fees and your payment gateway's transaction charge, both billed at cost.
How quickly can we go live?
Go-live can be the next working day. You pick the date; we don't need months of parallel running to get there. Bringing across years of historical records — old marks, past fee ledgers, archived certificates — runs on its own track afterwards and doesn't hold up day one.
We're 400 students. Is this built for schools our size?
Yes, and the pricing is flat per student, so a 400-student school isn't subsidising features built for 4,000. ₹49–₹199 per student per year with every module included — there's no tier where fee reminders or report cards cost extra.
Our fee structure has a lot of exceptions.
Every school says this, and it's usually true. Sibling concessions, staff wards, RTE, transport slabs, part payments, late fines, mid-year joins — they're all standard rather than special. Bring your actual fee sheet to the demo and test the awkward cases, not the simple ones.
Our teachers aren't confident with software. Will they actually use it?
The teacher app does one thing well — attendance and marks, in under a minute a class, on any Android phone, in Hindi or your regional language. We do a full day of on-site training at go-live and stay on WhatsApp through the first month. If a teacher is still struggling after that, we come back at no cost.
What about parents without a smartphone?
Every WhatsApp notification falls back to SMS. Printed receipts, fee chalans and report cards stay available exactly as now. The aim is to serve the 95% on WhatsApp properly without cutting off the 5%.
Can we try it before committing?
90-day paid pilot on your real data. If it isn't working at day 90, pro-rata refund and your data back in standard formats. We don't offer a free trial on dummy data — it proves nothing to either of us. The pilot runs on your real students, your real fees.
