Where the day ends for a day school, yours continues
Rooms and beds allocated and reallocated through the year. Mess attendance and charges. Students signing out for a weekend and signing back in. Visitors arriving and needing to be verified against an approved guardian list. A fever at midnight that has to be recorded, treated and communicated.
None of that is an add-on to the academic record — it is the residential school's core operation, and it belongs against the same student as their marks and attendance rather than in a separate register in the housemaster's office.
Hostel operations

Guardians at a distance
For a parent who cannot drop in, communication is the entire relationship with the school. WhatsApp carries attendance, health, academic and fee information the same way it would for a day school, and a guardian in another state or another country gets exactly what a local parent would.
Where a student has more than one guardian — a common arrangement in residential schools — each can be contactable, with their own permissions over what they're allowed to authorise.

₹49–₹199 per student per year, flat at any school size — no enrolment slabs and no per-module upsell. A 500-student school on the middle plan is about ₹49,500 a year. Migration, training and setup are ₹0. The only external costs are WhatsApp message fees and your payment gateway's transaction charge, both billed at cost.
How quickly can we go live?
Go-live can be the next working day. You pick the date; we don't need months of parallel running to get there. Bringing across years of historical records — old marks, past fee ledgers, archived certificates — runs on its own track afterwards and doesn't hold up day one.
Is hostel management a real module or a bolt-on?
Real, and against the same student record as attendance and marks — rooms and beds, mess, movement in and out, visitors, medical events and guardian contact. If it lived in a separate system you'd be reconciling two student lists, which is the problem you're trying to solve.
We bill tuition, boarding and mess separately.
Separate heads on one invoice, each prorating properly on a mid-term join or withdrawal. A parent sees what they're paying for; the accounts see it split correctly.
A student has two guardians with different permissions.

Can we track a student signing out and not coming back on time?
Sign-out, expected return and actual return are all recorded, and the gap between the last two is what raises the alert. That's the case the register in the housemaster's office handles badly.
Where is our data, and can we get it out?
Hosted on AWS Mumbai. Daily encrypted backups, role-based access, and a full export in standard formats whenever you ask — including on the way out.
